The Camphor Tree, or Cinnamomum camphora, is a beautiful tree that is originally from Asia. This tree has been used for everything from medicine to insect repellent over the centuries. Today, Camphor Trees can be found all over the world, from the streets of California to the temples of Japan.

Mature Size: 50-70 ft tall, 40-50 ft wide

Growth Rate: Moderate to fast

Ideal Planting Location: Full sun to partial shade, well-drained soil

Water Requirements: Camphor prefers moist soil, but can tolerate some drought once established. Water deeply during dry spells.

Common Pests and Diseases:

Camphor can be affected by aphids, and verticillium wilt. To prevent these problems, maintain good tree health by watering and fertilizing properly, and promptly treat any signs of pest or disease infestations.

Additional Care Tips:

Mulch around the base of the tree to conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
